Description
The Town of Windsor, Connecticut is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive and integrated set of educational facilities studies for the Windsor Public Schools (WPS). The studies cover all seven WPS school buildings and are designed to provide rigorous, evidence-based analysis to support decisions about the future of school facilities. The scope includes three study areas: (1) Enrollment Projections - preparing updated enrollment projections for WPS that account for demographic dynamics, private/magnet school enrollment trends, and potential re-enrollment scenarios; (2) Capacity and Utilization Analysis - assessing how current school buildings are used, their suitability for 21st century learning, and conducting a land study and hazardous materials assessment to evaluate feasibility of new construction on existing sites; (3) Facilities Condition Assessment - documenting the physical condition of all buildings, evaluating their suitability for transformation into 21st century learning environments, and providing renovation vs. replacement recommendations for each building. The Town strongly encourages proposers capable of addressing multiple scopes to do so, as integration across all three studies is essential.
