Description
The Ho-Chunk Nation is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide architectural design services for a new museum and cultural center. The scope of work includes detailed architectural blueprints for a museum facility with 25,000 square feet of storage space, including a research room, humidity and temperature control, secure access, a fire suppression system, water, and air quality control. It also requires cold storage for objects and a seed bank. The cultural center space includes a main gallery of 15,000 sq. ft., temporary gallery space of 6,000 sq. ft., 2-4 classrooms, a library and archival space/storage of 6,000 sq. ft., a full industrial kitchen, gathering space for 100-150 people, office space for 10, and restrooms. Additional considerations include a gift shop and cafe. The exterior space should incorporate ethnobotanical plants, healing plants, native species, a pathway, parking, and outdoor class/gathering space. Keycode/badge access will be required for all spaces and the building entrance.
