Description
The Regional Education Service Center (RESC) Alliance Food Trust, a public purchasing consortium of school districts in Connecticut, is requesting proposals for bread products. The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is acting as the administrative agent for this initiative. The successful proposer will contract directly with and separately invoice each individual member school district. The products must meet nutritional requirements for various USDA meal programs, including the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program, and adhere to Buy American provisions. Vendors must maintain a HACCP-based food safety program, and deliveries must be made in a sanitary manner, with trucks refrigerated when applicable. Products are subject to inspection and must meet all applicable health, quality, and safety standards. Member districts are exempt from federal, state, and local taxes. Orders can be placed via an online portal, electronically, or by phone. Substitutions are allowed at the discretion of RAFT if the substituted item is equivalent and priced no higher than the awarded item. The contract will be for an initial term of three years with the option for two one-year renewals.
