Description
Spring Branch Independent School District is soliciting turnkey proposals for a districtwide wireless infrastructure upgrade. The scope includes design and installation of new IEEE 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 access points for classrooms, high-density common areas, outdoor areas, courtyards, and hardened locations; centralized gateways or controllers; management, monitoring, analytics, firmware, policy, and lifecycle-management software; required subscriptions and licenses; mounting hardware and protective cages; removal and delivery of existing equipment; and a pilot deployment at one high school for up to 90 days. Aruba equipment is preferred, including specified Aruba AP-735, AP-755, AP-765, and AP-764 or functionally equivalent equipment. The project also includes structured Category 6A and fiber-optic cabling, equipment cabinets, patch panels, cable pathways, testing, labeling, documentation, as-built drawings, installation, configuration, knowledge transfer, and formal training for three district employees. Proposers must provide testing procedures, a proposed implementation schedule, a master service agreement, terms and conditions, equipment and software support, warranties, service-level guarantees, and a valid E-Rate Service Provider Identification Number. Classroom work must occur after school hours, and the project is expected to be completed within 180 days after written notice to proceed unless otherwise approved. The district may proceed with all or part of the project depending on E-Rate funding and may voluntarily renew awarded contracts for up to two consecutive one-year terms.
