Description
Spring Branch Independent School District is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive Category 2 network upgrade. The requested scope includes approximately 1,250 switches and necessary software and licenses; 5,500 wireless access points and necessary software and licenses; two routers and necessary software and licenses; cabling; antennas, connectors, and related components; and associated installation and initial configuration where applicable. The Form 470 also identifies corresponding basic maintenance of internal connections for the proposed switches, cabling, wireless access points, routers, and related components, but the district is not soliciting separate bids for maintenance or managed internal broadband services apart from the proposed internal-connections solution. The district states that quantities are estimates and that proposed solutions may require different quantities to meet the minimum specifications. Detailed specifications, evaluation criteria, forms, addenda, site information, and proposal instructions are contained in the referenced RFP documents. Proposals must be sealed and received by the stated deadline; spam or robotic responses will be disqualified. Vendors must register in the electronic bidding system to obtain access to the solicitation documents.
