Description
The City of Indianola is soliciting sealed written bids for a three-year cash-rent lease of approximately 190.77 acres of agricultural land in Warren County, Iowa. The lease term is scheduled to run from March 1, 2027, through March 1, 2030, subject to City Council approval and possession provisions. Bidders must provide annual rent amounts for 2027, 2028, and 2029, including a per-acre planting price. The tenant will bear all farming costs and real estate taxes, maintain the premises in accordance with good husbandry and environmental requirements, and comply with restrictions including no hunting or trapping. The City retains access rights and the right to apply biosolids to at least 70 acres, subject to the lease terms. The selected tenant may not assign or sublet the premises without prior written authorization.
