Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business for a firm-fixed-price requirement covering a baseline inventory and annual inspection of approximately 3,050 fire and smoke door assemblies across four North Texas healthcare facilities. The contractor must provide all engineering, materials, labor, and supervision; inspections must comply with NFPA 80, NFPA 101, and NFPA 105 and be performed by personnel knowledgeable about the doors and certified by the International Fire Door Inspector Association. The scope also includes baseline and annual firestopping surveys, remediation of deficient penetrations and joints using approved listed systems, door repairs, reinspections, and detailed electronic reports and records. The contract includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with an initial firestopping survey and baseline door survey due within 45 days after award and remediation plans due within two weeks after award. Proposals require separate PDF volumes for solicitation and pricing materials, technical approach, past performance, and a redacted technical approach; the technical approach is limited to 25 pages per applicable volume.
