Description
The City of Austin is soliciting a contractor to provide as-needed commercial moving and relocation services for City departments. The scope includes moving office furniture, boxes, crates, cubicles, workstations, equipment, copiers, computers, appliances, and other office items within or between buildings; disassembling and reassembling furniture; supplying labor, enclosed vehicles, equipment, labels, crates, packing materials, and other necessary materials; removing and recycling moving-related waste; and protecting property during moves. The contractor must also provide itemized inventories and tracking numbers, coordinate move planning and scheduling, handle approved permitting for large or specialized moves, provide secured interim off-site storage when needed, and respond to emergency or short-notice moves. The solicitation includes hourly labor rates, rental equipment and moving-material prices, and informational pricing for interim storage and additional services. The initial contract term is 36 months, with up to two additional 12-month extensions. Offers must include the City's required offer, certification, living-wage, wage-theft, and pricing submittals and must be submitted online through the City's eResponse system.
