Description
The Naval Air Systems Command is conducting market research for production-representative, flight-certified AN/ALE-47 Common Carriage Countermeasures Dispensing System hardware as the program transitions from engineering and manufacturing development into rate production. The anticipated requirement includes manufacture, testing, and delivery of the SA-2669A/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Sequencer, D-74/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Dispenser Housing Assembly, MX-12772/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Magazine Assembly, and AN/ALM-300 organizational-level flight-line test sets. The magazine assembly is expected to accommodate 48 1-by-1-by-8-inch square expendable countermeasure cartridges. Qualified businesses must demonstrate flight-critical electronic assembly and testing, aerospace-quality controls such as AS9100, precision aluminum casting and machining, environmental stress screening and acceptance testing, secure firmware loading and configuration control, long-lead microelectronics supply-chain management, counterfeit-part prevention, and full material traceability. The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed-price IDIQ with a three-year ordering period, estimated production of 114 to 186 shipsets annually, and an estimated total value of $104 million. This is a Sources Sought notice rather than a solicitation for proposals; respondents must submit a capabilities statement in Microsoft Word, limited to 12 pages, addressing their ability to perform the requirement and including specified company and point-of-contact information.
