Description
Blount County is soliciting a licensed Tennessee general contractor to remove and dispose of the existing generator and furnish and install a new 30 kW natural-gas emergency standby generator compatible with the existing transfer switch. The scope includes mobilization, delivery and placement, anchorage and vibration isolation, electrical connections and modifications, natural-gas piping and gas-extension work, fire-suppression-system coordination, startup, commissioning, operational testing, transfer-switch testing, and final adjustment. The project also includes relocating a breaker from the existing fire panel to the panel adjacent to the transfer switch. Bidders must provide generator manufacturer information, specifications, authorized service-provider information, equipment lead times, prior similar generator installations completed within the previous five years, pricing for each bid line, and the required bid forms, certifications, references, and supporting attachments. Addendum III confirms that the project will proceed even if generator lead times exceed the ARPA funding schedule, using an alternative funding source if necessary. The bid requires a 5% bid bond and 100% performance and labor-and-materials payment bonds. Electronic submission through the online bidding system or a sealed manual bid is permitted; email and facsimile submissions are not accepted.
