The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service is soliciting quotations for a firm-fixed-price commercial construction purchase order to replace aging 26-gauge standing-seam metal roofing on one base building and seven option buildings at its Tifton research facilities. The work includes removal and lawful disposal of existing roofing, inspection of underlayment and decking, installation of matching standing-seam metal roofs in a hunter or forest green shade, flashing and sealing around penetrations, and installation of matching gutters, leaf guards, and downspouts where specified. One option includes replacement of an adjoining awning. Contractors must provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, permits, quality control, safety measures, and debris disposal, and must price every base and option line item. The project magnitude is $250,000 to $500,000 and the acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 238160. The contract is expected to be awarded to one vendor using lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation. Quotations must demonstrate relevant standing-seam roofing construction experience, and past performance may be evaluated. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are required. The project must be completed within 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
