Description
The City of Oak Ridge is soliciting bids from licensed Tennessee contractors for a CDBG-funded sidewalk improvement project. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to remove approximately 8,600 square feet of existing sidewalk; install approximately 2,121 linear feet of five-foot-wide concrete sidewalk; replace or repair curb and gutter; construct 10 handicap ramps with truncated domes; repair asphalt pavement; install or replace crosswalk striping, pavement markings, stop bars, and pedestrian warning signs; and provide traffic safety, erosion control, restoration, backfill, seeding, and related work. The project is subject to HUD environmental approval, federal labor standards including Davis-Bacon requirements, Section 3 requirements, applicable federal procurement provisions, and Tennessee licensing requirements. Work may begin only after environmental approval and issuance of a written Notice to Proceed, and must be completed within 150 days after the Notice to Proceed unless an alternate schedule is approved in writing. Bidders must submit the provided Bid Form, bid guarantee, Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit, references, and Iran Divestment Act certification; a Byrd Anti-Lobbying certification applies to awards of $100,000 or more.
