Description
Knox County is soliciting bids for a term contract covering aluminized steel Type 2 corrugated metal round and arch pipe, high-performance polypropylene pipe, and associated bands, couplers, and fittings. The solicitation includes multiple diameters and gauges, generally ranging from 12 to 108 inches for metal pipe and 12 to 60 inches for plastic pipe. Products must meet specified Tennessee Department of Transportation, AASHTO, and ASTM requirements, and bidders must provide detailed product submittal sheets, current Safety Data Sheets, pricing, delivery times, warranty information, and a discount for other goods. The successful vendor must maintain sufficient inventory to make 90 percent of typical 15- to 48-inch pipe orders immediately available for delivery or pickup, provide delivery at no additional charge, and maintain an approved inventory or fabrication facility. The initial award is for one year, with possible annual extensions for up to four additional years. Bids may be submitted electronically through the county procurement system or by sealed hand delivery or commercial carrier; email and facsimile submissions are prohibited.
