Description
The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin is soliciting proposals from qualified California C-39 Roofing Contractors or California B General Building Contractors working with an appropriately licensed C-39 subcontractor to perform roof repairs, roof replacement, reroofing, and associated roofing work at the Diablo Homes Community. The project covers 16 occupied residential buildings, including removal and lawful disposal of existing roofing, inspection and authorized repair or replacement of damaged or dry-rotted materials, installation of new roofing systems, flashing, vents, underlayment, gutters and downspouts where applicable, and coordination with an HVAC contractor. Potential roofing systems include composition asphalt shingles, architectural or dimensional asphalt shingles, TPO single-ply membranes, spray-applied polyurethane foam, metal roofing systems, and approved roof coatings or other assemblies. Proposers must provide pricing for removal, replacement, total building work, and specified repair unit rates, along with a five-year workmanship warranty and 30-year roofing-material warranty. The proposal must include technical and management information, financial and managerial capacity, resumes, at least three similar-project references, an equal employment opportunity policy, required HUD and Authority forms, a 5% bid bond, and compliance with licensing, DIR registration, Davis-Bacon, Section 3, insurance, and occupied-site safety requirements.
