Description

The 910th Airlift Wing requires a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to repair and restore the Aircraft Fire Training Facility aircraft mock-up. Work includes troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing tail engine, wheel well, flight deck, and cargo-area burners and ignition systems; replacing a cargo-area sprinkler head and restoring drainage; structural steel and certified welding repairs; corrosion remediation; repair or replacement of the warped R2 door and nearby grating; propane/LPG distribution repairs; installation or restoration of emergency energy shutoff and solenoid valves; correction of pneumatic shutoff-valve deficiencies; control-system upgrades; and associated testing, maintenance, and corrective work. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, testing, quality control, and other resources required for a complete and functional system. Work must comply with the Statement of Work, drawings, applicable Air Force technical requirements, NFPA standards, installation-access and safety requirements, and the applicable Ohio prevailing-wage determination. The estimated magnitude is $250,000 to $500,000, with one award anticipated and a 90-calendar-day performance period after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
