Description
Kent State University is seeking a qualified vendor to operate a full-service cafe and provide catering for faculty, staff, students, and the surrounding community at the Trumbull Campus. The selected vendor must provide breakfast, lunch, other cafe services, and catering; maintain a clean and welcoming facility; develop an inclusive and seasonal menu; supply and train staff; and manage food preparation, serving, and customer service. The vendor will be responsible for equipment and food-contact-surface cleaning and maintenance, equipment repairs, food and beverage sourcing, marketing, sustainability practices, and compliance with state and local food-safety requirements. The vendor must maintain ServSafe Ohio Level 2 certification and an active food-service license. Minimum operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday during academic terms, with additional service and catering hours as needed. Proposals must include company experience, operating approach, menu and staffing information, pricing, health and safety practices, sustainability initiatives, and at least two client references with contact information.
