Description
Tucson Unified School District is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a comprehensive compensation market analysis for school principals, assistant principals, and other school-site administrative roles. The work includes reviewing current compensation data, job descriptions, responsibilities, and qualifications; gathering comparable data from local public school districts and, if possible, regional or national districts; analyzing starting salary placement, stipends, salary progression, maximum earning potential, incumbent distribution by salary step, average and median salaries, school-level or enrollment-based differences, internal equity, market gaps, salary compression, and compensation best practices. The consultant must provide a first report summarizing methodology, market data, findings, and comparative results by December 31, 2026. After receiving District feedback, the consultant must provide a second report by February 28, 2027 with compensation-structure recommendations, position reclassifications, fiscal impacts or cost estimates, implementation timelines, and a transition or implementation plan, and present findings and recommendations to District leadership and other stakeholders as required.
