Description
The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a contractor to coordinate and complete the relocation of one Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle from Capital City Fire Rescue in Juneau to Palmer Fire & Rescue in Palmer, Alaska. Because Juneau lacks road access to the Alaska highway system, the move requires marine transportation to an appropriate mainland port followed by commercial overland trucking to the final destination. The contractor must manage the entire shipment, including scheduling, transfers, loading, unloading, protection of the vehicle, shipment status updates, coordination with the recipient, final delivery, and delivery acknowledgment. The vehicle is approximately 38 feet long, 9 feet 1 inch wide, and 12 feet high. Pricing must include all shipping and transportation costs, with fuel surcharges separately reimbursable when properly documented. Delivery is requested by September 30, 2026.
