Description
The California Department of Water Resources is seeking a contractor to provide two-day four-wheel-drive safety training courses for up to 12 employees per session, with an estimated maximum of 30 classes over the three-year agreement. Training must include classroom and hands-on instruction covering vehicle capabilities and limitations, terrain and hazard assessment, safe operation, vehicle recovery, winching, traction equipment, tire management, hill ascent and descent, off-camber driving, and environmentally responsible off-road practices. The contractor must furnish instructors, curriculum, handouts, training materials, equipment, travel, venue-related costs, and other course-delivery resources. DWR will provide the participant vehicles. Bidders must document at least five years of four-wheel-drive/off-road vehicle operation and instruction experience and provide recognized instructor certification or equivalent documented training and experience. The bid package must include the required bid sheet, certification sheet, references, Darfur Contracting Act Certification, GenAI Disclosure, and applicable small-business or DVBE preference documentation. The contract is anticipated to begin in January 2027 and has an estimated three-year term.
