Description
The City of Ontario seeks a qualified engineering firm to perform preliminary engineering and feasibility analysis for improvements to approximately 550 feet of North Turner Avenue and an adjacent open channel. Phase I includes records and field research, aerial topography, right-of-way and utility analysis, preliminary hydrology and hydraulics, roadway and storm drain design alternatives with cost estimates, permitting research, and outreach to affected properties. The City may exercise Phase II as an optional scope. Phase II includes final plans, specifications, and estimates; hydrology and hydraulics reporting; topographic surveying; geotechnical studies, including ten borings; permitting and environmental support; utility coordination; right-of-way acquisition support; public outreach; and construction support. Proposals must include technical qualifications, staffing, experience and references, a work approach and schedule, a separate lump-sum fee proposal, insurance information, litigation history, certifications, and appendices. The project is subject to California prevailing-wage requirements and Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements where applicable.
