Description
Muscatine Power and Water is soliciting sealed bids for Unit 10 Contract 281, Balance of Plant. The scope includes erection of owner-furnished equipment; drilled piers for the pipe support rack; excavation, concrete, testing, and backfill for the building slab, equipment pads, dead-end foundation, gas-yard foundations, and pipe-support-rack foundations; structural steel and pipe-rack supports; joists, decking, grating, guardrails, ladders, and connections; structural steel connection design; and elevated concrete floor slabs. The listed work is not exhaustive, and bidders must consult the project documents for the complete requirements. The bid package requires qualifications and experience of the prime contractor, references and prior experience from the last three to five years on projects of the same type and size, a safety plan and EMR, quality plan, Inflation Reduction Act narratives addressing prevailing wage, apprenticeship, and domestic-content requirements, a subcontractor list with qualifications and experience, qualifications for the special inspector and testing agency, a preliminary construction schedule with estimated manpower, equipment vendor data, present commitments, a completed Sealed Bid Form, and a Form of Bid Bond. Bids must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave.
