Description
The City of Iowa City is seeking a portable crime scene evaluation solution for locating, enhancing, documenting, measuring, and preserving physical evidence in field and laboratory environments. The proposed solution may be an integrated system or compatible components and must include the equipment, software, licensing fees, accessories, batteries, chargers, carrying equipment, training, and support necessary for full operation for five years. The solution must provide forensic-quality digital imaging, alternate light source illumination across ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared ranges, optical filtering, image enhancement, evidence measurement, metadata preservation, and export in commonly accepted formats. It must support detection or documentation of fingerprints, biological fluids, blood, trace evidence, hair, fibers, glass, gunshot residue, controlled substances when applicable, bruising and injuries, impression evidence, and other physical evidence. Vendors must describe system architecture, wavelengths, filters, imaging and stabilization capabilities, operating modes, measurement accuracy, warranty and technical support, and provide pricing for the device, on-site training and setup, and shipping and handling.
