Description
The City of Portland, Maine, Department of Parks, Recreation & Facilities is soliciting proposals from a construction manager at risk for the Merrill Auditorium Ceiling Restoration Project. The work includes surface preparation and repainting of the coffered ceiling and adjacent areas; plaster patching and restoration related to prior water infiltration; testing and lead paint and plaster encapsulation or mitigation; removal and replacement of sprinkler heads and fire alarm beam detectors; re-lamping or replacement of recessed can-light fixtures; and full-hall scaffolding. Construction is scheduled to begin June 21, 2027, and must be completed no later than November 5, 2027. Attendance at the September 24, 2026, pre-proposal conference is mandatory, and only firms represented at that meeting may submit proposals.
