Description
The California Department of General Services, through its Real Estate Services Division and Project Management and Development Branch, is seeking Statements of Qualifications from electrical engineering firms to establish separate retainer agreements for Northern, Southern, and Coastal California. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis for new, addition, renovation, and remodel projects, with individual task orders negotiated using fixed rates. The scope may include electrical distribution, emergency power, lighting, building power systems, communications, security, fire and life safety systems, photovoltaic systems, LEED and zero-net-energy analyses, design documents, studies, cost estimates, bidding support, construction support, field investigations, inspections, project meetings, shop drawing review, and as-built drawings. Firms must perform work under the approval of a California-licensed architect or engineer and demonstrate relevant experience, staffing, regulatory knowledge, public works support, and LEED/ZNE capabilities. A selected firm for each region may receive a five-year agreement with a maximum value of $5,000,000, although the State does not guarantee task orders.
