Description
The City of New York, through its Department of Transportation, is soliciting proposals for professional engineering services for the East River Bridges Capital Program Development Study. The scope covers current-state assessments of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Queensboro Bridges; development of a 30-year capital program and conceptual life-cycle cost estimates; bridge network and traffic analysis; long-term service-life and resiliency planning; maintenance, monitoring, nondestructive testing, and remote condition-data collection recommendations; and development of a Bridge Information Model incorporating modeling, survey, structural analysis, deterioration modeling, and asset-management applications. The procurement uses a quality-based selection process. Proposers must address the experience and qualifications of proposed personnel, organizational capacity, approach and methodology, relevant experience, affirmations, DBE participation, and related federal and city compliance requirements. The anticipated contract term is 560 consecutive calendar days from written notice to proceed through final submission of deliverables. The DBE participation goal is 0%.
