Description
This sources sought notice is seeking information on manufacturers capable of producing a generator tachometer with National Stock Number (NSN) 6680004325477. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is requesting that potential sources provide information on their manufacturing capabilities, the location of their facilities (City and State, or country if applicable), and any available points of contact. Approved sources currently listed are HAYDON KERK MOTION SOLUTIONS (CAGE 02005) and AMETEK TECHNICAL & INDUSTRIAL (CAGE 14404), both associated with Part Number 08TG873-1. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal, nor does it constitute a solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment by the Government, and any information submitted is strictly voluntary. No funds are available to pay for response preparation. Responses will not be considered offers, and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract. For guidance on submitting a Source Approval Request (SAR), please refer to the Source Approval Handbook, accessible via the DoD SAFE file transmission site (https://safe.apps.mil/). SARs for NSNs without an open solicitation require an email request to dlaavnsmallbus@dla.mil with the subject 'request a SAR drop off'. Include CAGE code, NSN, and the email address for the drop-off link. SARs may not be processed if deemed not cost-effective due to low item demand; consult the DLA Supplier Requirements Visibility Application for forecasting data. The review process for SARs can exceed 180 days.
