Description
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) requires Personal Assistive Services (PAS) to support employees with targeted disabilities. These services are mandated by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to ensure equal access and full workplace participation for individuals with disabilities. PAS includes assistance with daily living activities such as toileting, eating, drinking, vehicle transfers, and mobility device transfers. The services will be provided at the USPTO Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, and its regional offices in Detroit, Michigan; Dallas, Texas; and San Jose, California. Providers must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be a U.S. Citizen or lawfully admitted alien, possess at least three years of demonstrated professional experience as an assistant for individuals with disabilities, and have the physical ability to perform all required tasks. Providers must also maintain a professional appearance and excellent communication skills. The contract includes a base year and three one-year optional periods.
