Description
Fayette County Water System is seeking a contractor to repair the Lake McIntosh Dam spillway structure. The work includes repairing non-structural cracks greater than 0.01 inches, diagonal shear cracks, leakage at construction joints and form ties, concrete spalling, voids, bug holes, exposed aggregate, and wall-to-slab joint deterioration. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, access equipment, protection, cleanup, repair-product submittals, photographic documentation, and a minimum one-year warranty. Specified systems include hydrophobic polyurethane and hydrophilic acrylate-ester crack and leakage repair materials, low-viscosity epoxy injection for structural cracks, polymer-modified cement-based repair mortar, and epoxy grout for concrete holes. The contractor must coordinate access and operational restrictions with Fayette County Water System, protect existing structures and equipment, obtain approval for equivalent products and additional work, and complete repairs in accordance with applicable NACE, ICRI, ACI, and manufacturer requirements. A five-percent bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100-percent performance and payment bonds before contract execution.
