Description
The City of Mountain View is soliciting sealed unit-price bids for landscaping improvements at Shoreline Lake Cove and Hill. The work includes clearing and grubbing, minor grading, soil testing and decompaction, soil amendments, native understory plants and trees, hydroseeding, walkable groundcover, wood mulch, erosion-control blankets and fiber rolls, temporary browse-deterrence measures, and an expanded existing recycled-water irrigation system with spray and bubbler zones. The project also includes decomposed-granite accessible pathways with header boards, relocation and installation of site furnishings, traffic control, construction fencing, stormwater-pollution controls, plant establishment and maintenance for 90 days, and record drawings. Bidders must hold a California Class A general engineering or Class C27 landscaping contractor license, demonstrate at least two comparable public-agency projects of $500,000 or more completed within the past five years, and provide a bid security equal to at least 10% of the bid. The estimated cost is $650,000 to $750,000.
