Description
Nassau Community College is seeking a qualified and experienced insurance brokerage firm to serve as its primary insurance advisor and advocate. The scope includes comprehensive review of the College’s insurance program and exposures; coverage, limit, deductible, and policy-term recommendations; insurance marketing and placement; renewals; policy administration; insurer financial-strength monitoring; risk assessment and advisory services; and claims management and advocacy. The broker must support insurance programs that may include directors’ and officers’ or school legal liability, student professional liability, environmental or pollution liability, law-enforcement liability, equipment breakdown, crime or employee dishonesty, leased buildings, and other coverage required by the College. The selected contractor will provide ongoing program management, annual renewal analyses and stewardship reporting, claims review meetings, coverage and risk consultations, and account-management support. Proposers must demonstrate at least 10 years of relevant experience, access to appropriate insurance markets, no material conflicts of interest, and experience serving public entities, higher-education institutions, or similarly complex organizations. The proposal is evaluated on qualifications and experience, approach and methodology, cost, and M/WBE participation.
