Description
The City of Clifton is soliciting proposals from licensed New Jersey insurance brokers to serve as Broker of Record for the City's self-insured employee health, prescription, dental, and stop-loss benefits programs. Services include analyzing existing plans, recommending and marketing coverage, reviewing policies and endorsements, supporting budget planning, monitoring carrier compliance, reviewing claims and financial data quarterly, assisting with enrollment and employee grievances, and advising on applicable federal and state laws. The broker must provide a dedicated account manager, maintain a principal business office in New Jersey, have at least five years of experience serving as Broker of Record for a public agency, and be actively licensed as a New Jersey insurance broker for at least five years. Proposals must include professional information, public-sector experience, at least four references (three involving public entities), and the completed proposal fee page and required compliance forms. The contract term is one year from contract award or the start of the year.
