Description
The City of Clifton is soliciting proposals for property and casualty insurance brokerage services for a one-year term beginning upon contract award or at the start of the new year. The selected broker will serve as broker of record, identify exposures, negotiate with insurance carriers, review policies and endorsements, provide coverage summaries, process certificates of insurance, and assist with procuring and managing the City's property and casualty insurance program. Additional responsibilities include developing long-range insurance strategies, recommending risk-reduction alternatives, periodically marketing insurance programs, preparing correspondence when requested, attending meetings, and advising City personnel on day-to-day insurance needs. Proposers must maintain a principal business office in New Jersey, have at least five years of public-agency broker-of-record experience and New Jersey broker licensure, designate a dedicated account manager, demonstrate adequate staffing and knowledge of applicable law, and provide public-sector references and other required proposal information.
