Description
The Town of Brookline is soliciting bids for winter plowing and sanding of all public roads, including snow removal at the town recycling center, Town Hall parking lot, and driveway access at the Brookline Meeting House. Bidders must have two plow trucks plus a spare, a sander plus a spare sander, and a bucket loader for loading winter sand and salt. The selected contractor must provide insurance, including general liability coverage of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence and $4,000,000 aggregate, and workers’ compensation coverage as required by Vermont law. A performance bond or other acceptable security is required to secure the one-year workmanship warranty. The solicitation also seeks a vendor to supply winter road sand, deliver it to the town’s sand shed as needed within seven days of request, and mix it with town-provided road salt as directed. A roughly one-quart material sample must accompany the bid, and pricing must state the delivered cost per cubic yard. One-year and two-year bids will be considered, with the second-year price clearly identified.
