Description
The City of Detroit is requesting proposals for comprehensive facilities maintenance services at the Detroit Detention Center. The scope includes HVAC seasonal start-up, inspection, preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements, investigations, emergency response, parts and equipment; plumbing inspection, preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements, and related assessments; electrical inspection, preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, generator and lighting work; and fire protection inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, 24-hour alarm monitoring, repairs, and improvements. The contractor must provide qualified, licensed personnel, equipment, materials, permits, reports, estimates, and emergency response. The lead or supervisory technician must have five years of licensed experience, a first-class refrigeration operator license, pipefitter credentials, and Universal Section 608 certification. Proposals must demonstrate at least five years of relevant HVAC, plumbing, commercial electrical, and fire protection experience, include five recent professional references, and address staffing, security, background checks, CJIS clearance, and detention-facility procedures. The contract term is three years, with the possibility of one or multiple awards.
