Description
Eastern Municipal Water District is seeking qualified consultants through RFQ No. 3955 to provide as-needed plan checking and professional engineering services. The scope covers linear pipelines; water booster stations and storage facilities; sewage lift stations; and professional technical services for development services. Work includes reviewing plans, specifications, calculations, technical submittals, geotechnical and corrosion reports, utility and property information, regulatory compliance, cost estimates, schedules, and construction-related revisions. Consultants may also provide project management, coordination meetings, status updates, meeting agendas and minutes, fee determinations, and responses to developer and engineer inquiries. The solicitation anticipates multiple agreements and a qualified consultant short list. Proposers must demonstrate relevant plan-check experience, licensed California professional engineering personnel for specified categories, availability, technical approach, safety and quality-control procedures, and applicable licenses and certifications. Pricing is submitted by hourly job classification, including plan checkers, engineers, utility clerks, and development services technicians. The agreement term is two years with one optional one-year renewal.
