Description
Fontana Unified School District is soliciting bids for two separately evaluated award categories: interior and exterior painting maintenance, and waterproofing/weatherproofing maintenance. Work will be issued on an as-needed basis through purchase orders at multiple District facilities, including schools, offices, warehouse facilities, and maintenance sites. Painting work includes surface preparation, priming, finish coating, cleanup, and painting of buildings, classrooms, offices, restrooms, ceilings, doors, trim, masonry, metal, fencing, gates, canopies, storage containers, and other painted surfaces. Waterproofing work includes approved coating systems and sealing of stucco, plaster, brick, masonry, concrete, exterior wall panels, cracks, joints, penetrations, and transitions. Bidders may bid on either or both categories. Category A requires an active California C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor's License; Category B requires the applicable D-51 Waterproofing and Weatherproofing classification. The contract has a one-year initial term with four optional one-year renewals, for a maximum of five years. The District estimates an aggregate contract value of $1,500,000, but does not guarantee any minimum quantity, dollar amount, number of projects, or frequency of work. Mandatory prequalification through PQBids, a mandatory job walk, prevailing-wage and public-works registration requirements, a 10% bid security, and separate 100% payment and performance bonds apply as specified in the bid documents.
