The Rensselaer County Historical Society is seeking a turnkey design-build HVAC contractor to modernize the existing systems serving the Hart Cluett Museum. The work includes stamped engineered drawings, permits, removal of equipment and associated piping and wiring, replacement of four rooftop units and four AHU condensing units, functional humidification systems, electrical connections, compatible HVAC controls, and third-party startup and balancing with a final balancing report. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, insurance, project management, site supervision, temporary protection, hoisting, cleanup, and final cleaning. The proposal must include pricing for the base work and three alternates: boiler replacement or related boiler work, accessible ductwork cleaning, and a supplemental cooling unit in the carriage-house boiler/electrical room. Proposed equipment cut sheets and manufacturer information are required. The bid package must also include a completed bid form, qualifications and resumes demonstrating three relevant historic-building projects completed within the last five years, and a list of MWBE vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. A minimum of 30% of the total project cost must be achieved through MWBE participation.
