Description
Albany County Department of Social Services seeks a transportation provider to deliver safe, reliable, non-emergency transportation for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, including people with mobility or disability issues and passengers carrying personal belongings. Services include transportation to emergency shelters, hotel or motel placements, and other designated locations throughout Albany County and, when authorized, the Greater Capital District. After-hours service is required from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays, with occasional requests during regular business hours. The provider must supply qualified and licensed drivers, modern and maintained vehicles, tracking and mileage systems, scheduling and contingency plans, driver training, reporting, and approximately 20 rides per month. The proposal must include qualifications, relevant experience, references, financial statements, an implementation plan, cost proposal, and required certifications and questionnaires. Total proposal costs may not exceed $25,000.
