Description
The Melrose Fire District is soliciting sealed bids for four prime-contract bid packages for construction of an approximately 10,664-square-foot fire station with associated site work: general construction, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The project is a public work subject to New York General Municipal Law Article 5-A, including Wicks requirements for separate prime contractors. Bids must remain valid for 45 days and include 5% bid security in the form of a bid bond from an acceptable surety, bank, or certified check payable to the Melrose Fire District. The successful bidders must provide performance and labor/material payment bonds and execute a written contract. Questions must be submitted in writing by email; phone questions will not be answered.
