]The proposed work consists of snow and ice control for City-maintained downtown sidewalks and parking lots, and City-owned public properties areas within the City of Hudson, Ohio. Services are to be completed in accordance with the specifications which are on file in the office of the Public Works Department.

The City of Hudson is soliciting unit-price bids for snow and ice control services for city-maintained downtown sidewalks, parking lots, streets, parking spaces, crosswalks, trails, greens, and other city-owned public properties. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment, vehicles, materials, snow removal and hauling, safety salt, and 24/7 availability during the working season. Required equipment includes plow-equipped pickup trucks, salt-spreading trucks, a skid steer, ride-on tractors, manual spreaders, snow shovels, and walk-behind snow blowers. Estimated quantities include snow plowing, salting, walkway shoveling, snow loading and hauling, dump trucks, loaders, and bagged salt; payment is based on actual quantities, and no specific quantity of work is guaranteed. The contract begins November 1, 2026, ends May 31, 2028, and includes an option for a two-year extension beginning November 1, 2028. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of similar experience and three comparable completed projects, submit three references, provide a notarized qualifications statement, and furnish the required bid security. General liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and property insurance are required. Safety salt must be supplied in 50-pound bags for sidewalks and parking deck applications, while roadway and parking-lot salt will be available from the City's salt dome.
