Legal Notice # 21945013 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR TITLE AND ABSTRACT COMPANIES The Town of Hempstead Department of Planning and Economic Development seeks proposals from title and abstract companies to provide complete title searches and reports relating primarily to the implementation of ongoing and proposed community development projects as well as other Town projects. Included in the standard title report should be the following: 1) Lien searches 2) Judgements 3) Restrictions 4) Easements 5) Covenants 6) Tax search 7) Variations of surveys 8) Insurance coverage 9) Mortgages 10) Deed 11) Last owner of record The selected firm(s) will receive a contract for one (1) year upon approval by the Town Board. The contract will include an option for the Town, at its sole discretion, to extend said contract for an additional year. The option shall not be deemed a renewal or extension, but a part of the original contract. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and may request further information from respondents. All Submissions will be the property of the Town, and are subject to public disclosure to the extent of the New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL). The following information shall be included in the proposal to be considered: 1) Name of organization with names and addresses of all principals and owners. 2) Specific staff available along with resumes. 3) List of applicable work experience in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County and elsewhere, i.e. experience with condemnation matters etc. 4) Examples of work products 5) Fee schedule (including insurance coverage rates) and extras not covered in the schedule 6) Average "turn around" time Four (4) copies of your proposals are to be received at 200 N.
