Description
The City of Pueblo is soliciting bids for construction of a multi-use trail along Wildhorse Creek between 18th Street and 24th Street. The work includes clearing and grubbing, vegetation and pavement removal, excavation and embankment, grading and drainage, riprap and reinforced ford walls, concrete and crusher-fines trail sections, curb ramps with truncated domes, sidewalk culverts, curb and gutter, fencing, hand and safety railings, signage, seeding, construction surveying, quality control, and mobilization. The base bid also includes erosion and sediment controls, concrete washout, vehicle tracking controls, stormwater management, utility coordination, and site restoration. Alternates include additional safety railing, replacement of crusher fines with concrete trail paving, and solar lighting along the trail. The contractor must self-perform at least 30% of the actual labor or trade work. Bidders must submit an active SAM.gov registration with no exclusions, a 5% bid guarantee, CDOT Form 606, a preliminary workforce statement, acknowledgment of the affirmative-action requirements, certification of nonsegregated facilities, and required electronic bid responses. The apparent lowest and most responsive bidder must subsequently submit CDOT Forms 605 and 621. Payment and performance bonds are required before issuance of the Notice to Proceed, each in an amount not less than the full contract price. The work must be completed within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
