Description
Natomas Charter School is soliciting proposals for one Sophos XGS 4300 firewall appliance with five-year Xstream Protection licensing, or an equivalent solution, for its school sites in the Sacramento area. The scope includes hardware, configuration and installation, shipping, taxes, detailed billing, and ongoing firewall support. The proposed solution must provide at least 30.0 Gbps throughput with subscriptions and logging enabled, application-layer segmentation and dependency warnings, on-box SSL decryption, and separate management and data planes. Vendors must be certified resellers, warrant the equipment, and certify compliance with Secure Networks Act restrictions. The proposal must include service-provider information, an implementation timeline beginning April 1, 2027, service-level information, pricing, three reference sites with at least three years of service history, and the required completed forms. The contract is contingent on E-Rate funding and school approval; the school intends a single-term contract that may be renewed annually for up to five consecutive fiscal years. The proposal deadline is November 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
