Description
This Sources Sought notice seeks information from large and small businesses regarding a forthcoming two-phase design-build construction contract for a self-cleaning screen system rated for juvenile fish at the Dexter Dam Adult Fish Facility water intake system. The system must meet National Marine Fisheries Service requirements for juvenile-fish exclusion and support compliance with the Federal Endangered Species Act. The anticipated scope includes site verification; updates and modifications to an approximately 90–95% complete reference design; engineering redesign and analysis, including computational fluid dynamics modeling; fabrication and procurement of components; potential underwater rock removal; and final attachment to the existing structure in a riverine or subaqueous environment. The contractor must provide personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control. Continued coordination with Intake Screens Inc. is expected because the agency identified it as the only manufacturer capable of providing a compliant system. The anticipated contract is firm-fixed-price, with estimated construction magnitude of $5 million to $10 million, final installation targeted for May 2030, and CMMC Level 1 (Self) required before award for systems handling Federal Contract Information or Controlled Unclassified Information.
