Description
This general contracting project involves construction of a new spillway and spillway chute at Cowan Lake Dam, along with concrete slope protection extending downstream of the State Route 730 bridge. Additional work includes upstream and downstream embankment improvements, lake drain improvements, concrete repairs within the existing chute, and scour and erosion protection at the primary spillway discharge location. The contractor will be responsible for scheduling the project, coordinating subcontractors, and providing other services identified in the contract documents. The project is subject to prevailing-wage, equal-employment-opportunity, domestic-steel, and Ohio EDGE Business Development Program requirements, including a 5.0 percent EDGE participation goal. Electronic bidding through Bid Express is required, and a digital ID is required for submission. The stated general contract estimate is $19,661,792, and all work must be completed by December 31, 2028.
