Description
The City of Lincoln Park is soliciting a contractor for police towing and related services. The scope includes 24-hour towing for vehicles requested by the Police Department, Public Services Department, or other authorized representatives; accident-debris cleanup and hazardous-waste disposal; radio dispatch; capacity to operate five tow trucks, including heavy-duty equipment; and towing of city-owned or leased vehicles and equipment. The contractor must maintain and secure the city's impound lot at 500 Southfield Road, provide specified access hours six days per week, maintain vehicle and storage records, support vehicle releases and abandoned-vehicle disposal, and conduct periodic auctions. The contractor must provide qualified and licensed drivers, properly equipped and maintained vehicles, required insurance, a $25,000 performance bond, and supporting vehicle registrations and photographs with the bid.
