Description
Haywood County is soliciting bids for three new ambulances. Addendum 1 states that inspections during construction may be conducted virtually or through build photographs, while the final factory inspection must be conducted in person with two county staff members attending. Taxes are excluded from the Bid Price Form's bid total; bidders may omit taxes from the bid form, but taxes must be included on invoices. The specifications require current-model-year Type I modular EMS ambulances configured for ALS emergency response, interfacility transport, rural and mountain operations, and extended-duration incident response. The primary bid requires Dodge Ram 4500 4x4 cab/chassis platforms, with a separately priced Ford F-450 4x4 alternate, along with specified modular bodies, patient-compartment equipment, Stryker Power Load compatibility and system, HVAC, electrical systems, warning and communications equipment, safety features, warranties, and compliance documentation.
