Description
Scott County is soliciting bids for one or more new, unused 2027-or-later 66,000-GVW tri-axle dump trucks for construction and maintenance of county roads and bridges. Each unit must be bid as a complete operational vehicle and meet extensive specifications covering the engine, automatic transmission, axles, brakes, suspension, tires, wheels, frame, cab, fuel and DEF tanks, and electrical systems. The required dump body is a 21-cubic-yard, 16-foot body with specified dimensions and AR450 steel construction, automated tarp system, high-lift tailgate, heavy-duty dump apron, air-operated tailgate kit, pintle hitch, towing package, spreader bar, and high-performance vibrator. Bidders must provide a guaranteed buyback offer after one year and a firm delivery date certifying delivery before March 1, 2027. The bid specification sheet states that the contract will be valid for five years from award, while future purchases remain at the County’s discretion.
