Description
Colquitt County is soliciting sealed bids for one new and unused current-production diesel dump truck with a 16-cubic-yard dump body, with an option for three additional trucks at the same price. The truck will be used by the Road and Bridge Department. The specifications require, among other features, a minimum 395-horsepower inline-six diesel engine, six-speed Allison automatic transmission, tandem rear axle, 20,000-pound front capacity, 46,000-pound rear capacity, dual air brakes, specified tires and suspension, air conditioning, safety equipment, white exterior, manuals, and warranty coverage. The dump body must have a 15-to-17-cubic-yard capacity and include specified steel construction, hydraulic hoist, LED lighting, electric tarp system, insulation, backup camera, backup alarm, and related equipment. Bidders must complete the specification response columns and provide pricing, discounts, warranty information, earliest delivery date, and manufacturer/model details. The bid form also includes a county option for a three-way air-release tailgate and a guaranteed buyback after two years or 80,000 miles.
