Description
The City of Tombstone is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide weekly residential solid waste collection for occupied residential accounts within the City's designated service area. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, vehicles, equipment, fuel, maintenance, 96-gallon wheeled garbage carts, replacement carts, transportation, and disposal at an authorized facility. Recycling is excluded. The contractor must identify its proposed disposal facility and include collection and disposal costs in the proposed residential service rates. The contractor must also provide weekly garbage collection and containers at specified municipal facilities at no cost to the City, maintain customer-service and missed-collection procedures, comply with applicable laws and licensing requirements, and provide a proposed collection schedule and rate-adjustment methodology. The initial contract term is five years, with an option for up to five additional years. Proposals must include pricing, company qualifications and experience, comparable contract information, vehicle and disposal-facility details, at least three comparable-service references, legal disclosures, and a signed proposal certification. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, excess liability, and workers' compensation/employer's liability.
